About BP Koirala Memorial Cancer Hospital
The Bishweshwar Prasad Koirala India-Nepal Foundation (BPKF) was established in December 1991 as a result of the Memorandum of Understanding between the two governments, signed during the visit of the late Nepali Prime Minister, Shri Girija Prasad Koirala. Established in honour of Shri Bishweshwar Prasad Koirala, the symbol of Nepali renaissance, the Foundation seeks to foster cultural relations between India and Nepal, through activities such as poetry, cinema, music, research and seminars. It also sponsors research projects related to traditional Nepali skills and women's empowerment. BPKF has also invited literary figures, film makers, and eminent artists and craftsmen from India to hold workshops in Nepal, providing a platform for various Nepalese social activists to further their causes.
