IGI was established and commenced its operation from February 1st 2001 (Magh 19, 2057 BS). Company has an authorized capital of Rs.2, 000 million and paid up capital of Rs. 1,000 million. The Registered office of the company is situated at Narayanchaur-Naxal, Kathmandu, Nepal. Company is providing its general insurance services from branches situated at different location all over Nepal and numerous liaison offices all over and out of Nepal. Literally, there are 48 branches of IME General Insurance (IGI) in Nepal. All the major 32 commercial banks of Nepal can be counted as the Bank Agents of IGI. Notably, all the general insurance services of IGI has been made available to almost every rural and urban locations of country via the 186 Personal Agents of IME General Insurance Limited. On the other hand, hundreds of dedicated Surveyors of IGI has been giving their best to complete the Claim Process within 3 weeks after acquisition of Surveyor’s report or other related information and documents as needed by the Claim process. IME General Insurance (IGI) has also tied up with multiple hospitals for providing the better customer service in the Medical Insurance, via its Cashless Scheme in Medical Insurance. In this scheme customer need not to deposit amount in hospital during admission time and also will not have to worry for the collection of bill from hospital for claim settlement. Claim settlement process is done through hospital in co-ordination with IGI.
