About Nepal Dairy Association

The Nepal Dairy Association was established on 7th January, 2055 BS. Having completed 20 years of its establishment and entering 21 years, this organization has gone through various ups and downs and has been continuously working for the rights and interests of its members by establishing provincial offices in all the seven states of the country. This organization has more than 250 industries across the country. Regional Dairy Development Ward Region No. The Nepal Dairy Association would like to thank the provincial government for being formed in the 3rd and 4th and in the process of formation in the rest of the provinces. Background of dairy sector across the country Dairy sector contributes 9 percent to AGDP 500,000 farming families are involved in employment and more than 30,000 people have got direct employment at industry level. The dairy sector contributes more than Rs 1 billion in annual revenue. More than 30 million rupees is flowing from the city to the village Show more daily. More than Rs 20 billion has been invested in this sector at industry level. Total production of 500,000 liters of milk 17 percent in the formal sector 33 percent going to the informal sector 50 percent consumed by the farmers themselves Nepal is an agricultural country but now it has come down from 93 percent to 65 percent. We have become dependent on everything to export at some point. It is a good idea to attract foreign investment for the development of all these things, but it seems that we have to make a decision based on the situation here as to which foreign investment should not be brought. Our Nepal Dairy Association suggests that Amul Dairy of India should immediately invest in Nepal's dairy sector. Which seems to have a direct effect on the following. We are gradually becoming self-reliant in Nepal's dairy sector and the government is fully supporting it. The then Ministry of Livestock and Poultry Development had started the work by declaring to be fully self-sufficient in milk within three years and accordingly the districts have been declared self-sufficient. Day by day The attraction in this area is growing. Imports are declining and big industries are coming up with their own investments. Indigenous industries will collapse and then close completely when foreign investment comes in the region which has a lot of potential. Therefore, there is no immediate need for foreign investment in the dairy sector.
